Prepare Gmail for IMAP Access
First, make sure that your Gmail account is ready to communicate with Front via IMAP (Internet Mail Access Protocol).

Log in to your Gmail account

Navigate to the top right corner and click on the gear icon (⚙️) to access "Settings."

Go to the "See all settings" option.

Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.

Scroll down and enable "IMAP Access" by selecting “Enable IMAP.”

Log in to Front and Navigate to Settings
Log in to your Front account.

Click on your avatar at the top right corner

Choose "Company settings" from the dropdown menu

Configure the Gmail Channel
In “Company settings,” select the “Inboxes” tab.

Click "Add a Team Inbox."

Choose Gmail as the channel type

Enter your Gmail address and click "Continue

Enter Gmail Credentials in Front
You’ll be prompted to enter your Gmail credentials.

Use your Gmail email and the App password you generated in Step 2.

Click "Continue" to start the import process.

Customize Sync Settings
You'll be given the option to sync historical emails.

Choose to sync all history, or select a particular date range

Click "Continue."

Confirm and Start Import
Review your settings and make sure everything is correct.

Click “Start Import” to initiate the migration

Monitor the Migration Process
You'll see a progress bar or a status indicator.

Wait for the import to finish; this can take from a few minutes to several hours depending on the size of your Gmail history.

After the import is complete, browse through your Front inbox to ensure all emails have been migrated successfully.
