How to Use Triggers and Actions in Help-Scout Workflows

Access the Workflows section in Help Scout

Log in to Help Scout
Log in to your Help Scout account.

Go to Main
Navigate to the main dashboard.

Click on "Manage"
Click on "Manage" from the top navigation bar.

Select a “Mailbox”
Select a “Mailbox”.

Select "Workflows"
Select "Workflows" from the dropdown menu.

Create a new Workflow
In the Workflows section, click on the "New Workflow" button located in the upper-right corner.

Configure the Workflow

Name your workflow
Name your workflow according to its purpose, for example, "Assign high-priority tickets to the Support team."

Choose mailbox
Choose the mailbox associated with the workflow.

Choose the type of Workflow
You will be prompted to choose between a "Manual" or "Automatic" workflow. Select the type that best suits your needs.

Set up Triggers

Click "Triggers"
Click on the "Triggers" tab.

Click "Add a Condition"
Add the required trigger by clicking the "Add a Condition" button.

Select a Condition
Select the trigger condition from the dropdown menu.

Set Condition Parameters
Configure the trigger condition by setting the required parameters.

Add other Triggers (optional)
You can add multiple triggers by clicking the "Add a Condition" button again and following steps 5.3 and 5.4.

Set up Actions

Click "Actions"
Click on the "Actions" tab.

Click "Add action"
Add an action by clicking the "Add an Action" button.

Select action
Select the action from the dropdown menu.

Configure action settings
Configure the action by setting the required parameters.

Add other actions (optional)
You can add multiple actions by clicking the "Add an Action" button again and following steps 6.3 and 6.4.

Save and activate the Workflow
Once you have configured the triggers and actions, click the "Activate Workflow" button to enable your workflow.
