How to Create Custom Calculated Fields
Custom calculated fields in Tableau allow you to create your own calculations based on the data in your data source. This can be used to add new insights to your data or to make your visualizations more informative and engaging.

Launch Your Tableau Project
Start by launching Tableau and opening the specific project where you wish to create a custom calculated field.

Choose Your Data Source
Identify and select the data source you intend to work with from the “Data” pane located on the left-hand side of the Tableau interface.

Navigate to the “Analysis” Menu
Find and click on the “Analysis” menu on the top toolbar to access the different options it offers.

Select “Create Calculated Field”
In the drop-down menu of "Analysis," opt for the "Create Calculated Field" to proceed with creating your custom field.

In the opening dialogue box, enter a suitable and descriptive name for your new calculated field.
